The SOAP is an acronym that stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer.

S – S in the SOAP bible study method stands for Scripture

As a beginner, you might have difficulty on deciding what scripture to read. Well, there is no special way of decoding what scripture to read.

You can decide to read the bible by focusing on a topic, you can also select what scripture to read by deciding to study the bible by books.

O – O stands for Observation

To get better understanding of the word, it is important that we spend time reading and observing it.

For example, you study a portion of the bible that talks about God’s love, the first question you should ask yourself is whether or not you understand what God’s love is, and how well you are groomed in his love.

P – P stands for Prayer

Finally on the SOAP bible study method, the P acronym stands for prayer.

I know that during the process of bible study, there are certain words, inspiration, and prayers that must have popped your mind.

So, the next time the devil brings the memory of a sin you committed before you accepted the life of Christ, laugh and say “there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus” then watch the devil bow.

P – Prayer
