The importance of festivals in our life

The rarest thing in human life and everybody keeps complaining about it, what it is? Happiness, contentment, and satisfaction. According to social psychologists, there are three main things that make people happy: close relationships, a job or past-time that they love, and helping others.

Now, I will shed some light on things that make people happy. Events, fetes, carnivals, and festivals are ultimate and solely celebration occasions. In which people forget about their professional work, stress, and grief. At festivals, relationships get stronger and people share their emotions with each other. It is the panacea to avoid depression and anxiety especially in an era of lockdowns.

So, celebrations must be on the top of our priority list especially when lockdowns and the fears of Covid-19 are everywhere. Festival celebrations in a lockdown and living far away from your motherland are harder but believe me that it can inscribe some long-lasting memories to your mind.

There are some popular festivals in the world:

Diwali:

Diwali is the festival of lights, which is commemorated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs.

Holi:

It is the festival of love, colors, and the festival of spring. Holi is the popular ancient Hindu festival mainly welcomed in India.

Songkran Festival:

Songkran is the Thai New Year’s national holiday. It is mainly welcomed and commemorated in Thailand.

Eid:

Eid is the second most commemorated festival in the world. Mainly attributed to the Muslims. There are 1.9 billion Muslims in total. It is about 24.7% of the total population in the world.

New Orleans Mardi Gras:

Mardi Grass celebration is more colorful and exciting than any other celebration within the USA. This celebration highlighted numerous parades all through the city.

Festivals and their transformation:

Occasions can fill you with joy and contentment. They act like stress tranquilizers and help us to balance our emotions. More positivity obviously lowers negativity. Festivals bring opportunities to forgive, to unite, and to show gratitude towards your loved ones. Festivals will also attach some souvenir echoes with you. So, it will bring nostalgia, which makes you happy in your leisure time.

Festival importance is still intact but the ways of celebrations especially for expats are different. In the past, a high chunk of revenue is brought from shopping during festivals. Now, the conventional shopping trend is shifted to online shopping and the revenue is also boosted manifold. On festivals like Eid, Holi, and Diwali, anyone can buy anything despite the current living conditions. For Eid, anyone can do Eid online shopping from anywhere in the world. Same for Holi and Diwali.

Most expats who live in the USA have migrated from the Sub-continent and other parts of the world. Those folks can do hassle-free Eid online shopping while living in the USA or in any part of the world. Pakistani and Indian dresses are available online throughout the year. In short, anyone can do any type of shopping. Whether it’s Holi online shopping, Eid online shopping, or Diwali online shopping. Just browse an online store and choose your dresses online and ship them down to your house.
