Overview

Route
The Valley of Flowers trek begins from Rishikesh to Devprayag followed by a trek to Srinagar and towards Rudraprayag, the journey ends at Karnaprayag.

On the journey of the trek visit the world’s largest Sikh gurudwara “Hemkund Sahib” which lies at 4400 metres. Just behind the Gurudwara, the hidden beauty lies in the lake which remains frozen for 6 months in the year. The Sikh guru Govind Singh Ji meditated on the banks of the lake during ancient times. The clear Hemkund lake is very pristine and still with the Brahmna Kamals growing in abundance.

This colourful valley shows many colourful carpets of flowers all around. This impeccable beauty will make you spellbound after visiting. Magnificent alpine flowers spread their magical scents together to make the valley more divine.
The majority of flowers one can witness are Blue Poppy, Dog flower, Hooked stick seed, Snake foil, Meadow Geranium, and Himalayan rose.
Best Time to Do Valley of Flowers Trek
This magnificent trek is very beautiful and an uphill trek in Uttarakhand Himalayas. This is great for those who are passionate about nature and mountaineering. Monsoon is the best time to do this trek from the end of June to the end of August. While coming inside the valley you will lose your heart by the glance of tiny flowers. This trek actually will be for 4 days and 2 days you will need to journey, there will be a total of 6 days from Haridwar. Need to book the flights according to one’s starting point of the journey. You travel from any city in India once you get down to Delhi you will easily get a cab or taxi from Dehradun.
